The first Mrs. Turner

Does anyone else find it strange that Tim and Patrick never mention the first Mrs. Turner? I love seeing him relate to Shelagh as a mom and i love that she fills that role for him, but i find it disrespectful to the memory of Tim’s original mom that she is never mentioned. Like, not even a funny story or sweet memory with her is ever brought up. It feels like she was just replaced. And that episode where tim finds an old photo of her, and hides it from his dad, and it never comes up again, and the camera is used to take pics of “the new family” seems especially cruel. Anyone feel similarly?
