Thoughts?
When I was a senior in hs, (I am a 21f now), I had a weird experience that I would like to ask the world of docs about. There was one night I couldn’t stop vomiting. I couldn’t hold down water. I vomited 8 separate times in 30mins. My mom, whom I live with, called the 24hr nurse hotline because she was getting worried. They advised that I be taken to the emergency room ASAP. The time from when I got there and when I was admitted is a blur but I remember getting two separate IVs. One in both arms. They drew tons of blood. My liver enzymes numbers were so high that the machine couldn’t even read them. My liver started to shut down. The doctors basically said that I had a Tylenol overdose. But here’s the thing, I had very little to almost no Tylenol in my system whatsoever. Nevertheless that’s how they treated me and I ended going home three days later when my enzyme count was just above normal. What could’ve caused this? The hospital doctors nor my physician could tell my family and I why it happened.
