They've played others, it's just part of a huge playlist. I think they're working on a potential voting system to choose what comes up next.

Using Chrome 23.0.1271.97 m, HTML5 player on youtube, can't go fullscreen. Any possible fix?

Try going to http://www.youtube.com/html5 and click on Leave the trial.

I Have an addon on my chrome that forces youtube to use HTML5, and I only have problems with watching in 1080p, not on 720p :(
nvm just checked dota network, I have the exact same problem with the HTML5 player.

I still use it. Though I hope you are going to put some extra weight to recent games. I'm most interested in games with the current patch/meta, though I don't mind seeing really good games from the days of yore now and again.

Just get your Graphic Calculator out and find a graphical distribution you like? I'll think on this later, but don't wait for an answer :P
EDIT: Although you may want to consider making it just a dichotomous distribution, with,say, 75% chance to draw from the pool 'recent games' (say from the last 3 great tournaments) and 25% to draw from the pool 'classics'. There's really not that much reason to want to see a game from 8 months ago more often than a game from 12 months ago..

I really like this. My only issue is more with Youtube than anything else. Sometimes there is no full screen, only a watch on youtube button. Also, I hate that Youtube doesn't save my setting on video quality. Always have to update it.
I don't know if it's possible, but having a larger window for the player would be awesome.

I don't know how hard it would be to implement, but what if there was a "ticker" at the bottom of the screen with current news? Sort of like ESPN, it'll be showing a video from a while back but have the score of a game going on currently.

I really love that syncing feature, but would really like to see this go even one step further. Enable me to put up a video (e.g. let me paste the youtube link or links to videos on whatever other VOD sites that your system will support) and get a link that allows me to watch it in sync with my friends.
This way you might even get easy access to the newest videos without putting them up yourself :D

Thanks for all the effort guys, but I simply cannot watch puppey not ban Naga over and over AGAIN :( It hurt so much the first time in August.
I'm working on expanding the playlist, I'll upload g1 league later today but at the moment the selection is a bit restricted with joindota's youtube banned.
