I’ll buy a series x for Starfield

Help thread

Will do the move in the next days just to wait some review of the game from trusted YouTubers but basically I’ll buy an xbox in the near future. Usually I play souls and RPG + simulation / strategy games (I love paradox). Based on this what other games do you suggest? I want to play Fable, age of empires and the last case of Benedict fox.

Any other suggestions? Thank you so much for your time

Do it, I did.

Don’t… play it on ultimate gamepass first, see if it’s good and if you like it.. save your money..

I bought a Xbox and I actually regret buying it, since I should have just played my games on gamepass instead over my com.. if it’s for the couch playing feeling, hook your pc up to your tv and buy a controller instead :-)

My Xbox have not switched on more then 6 hours since I got it, since I use my pc instead and gamepass.

I forgot to mention that pc game is not an option, I’m a Mac user and this is not gonna change. I can play it on xbox cloud but I think that it’s not gonna be stable

1

I play gamepass on Mac mini m2 pro and my MacBook m2 pro max ;-)

So no worries, you can even use a ps5 controller or Xbox controller:-)

I play ps+ premium on Mac and ps5 and gamepass on Mac and win and Xbox, and yet I regret buying an Xbox still, I should have saved the money and just stocked with gamepass ultimate :-/ I have never had longer waits then 3-5 min..

Yeah you have a lot of brute force power but I have only a MacBook Air M2 and an iPad Pro M1 (I’ll change with an M3 one). I could buy a Mac mini instead of the xbox and play there with parallels but the xbox is cheaper and the Mac mini would had only gaming purposes. I’ll try xbox game cloud first via iPad or MacBook

It’s not about the brute force :-) I never bought the macs for that kind of brute force, since it was never bought for gaming but work :-)

But xcloud don’t need brute force only minimum 10mbp internet ( I would say more but that is what Xbox states), then it doesn’t matter, you can use xcloud over a web browser :-)

Or GeForce now even on Mac :-)

At the end of the day, what you feel is best suited for your needs is what counts :-) but I would recommend get ultimate gamepass for a month, see if you like it first before buying a console :-)

I play single player games on ps5 only, but on Mac I do my Anno 1800 - civ 6- StarCraft 2- planet zoo - city skyline - bg3

Gamepass I played battle field campaigns (I never play multiplayer) and upcoming starfield from 1 sep.. and I think I will still do it on Mac instead of the Xbox because I can’t be bothered moving it to my telly since I can play on Mac instead :-)

I forgot to say, looking in hindsight.. I should have bought a Ps5 (i did) and stocked with my Mac and completely skipped pc and Xbox.. so only gamepass on Mac, I would have saved a lot of money.. then I could have bought a Apple studio display instead,. But oh well here I am :-(

So save your money and just buy a year ultimate game pass and ps premium then you have both world on Mac :-)

My Xbox is on all day every day, so maybe you need to find something new to play instead of telling people not to buy a system because of “reasons”.

You'll end up playing far more than that, if you like Persona, 3 Reload is coming to gamepass on release day. I have both PS5 and SX, and even though I always had ps only, I play more on Xbox nowadays

Yeah of course I’ll play there everything is free on game pass. But other stuff I’ll stick with PS as I have friends on there. I don’t like persona, should I?

Honestly, if you like turn based rpg, you should give it a try. Each title has tons of content, easily 80-100h of gameplay. Also, I do have a lot more friends on PS too, but nowadays this is pretty much nothing unless the game does not offer crossplay 😪 Discord integration on both console solved the bigger problem which was not having a way party chat across plataforms (aside from in game voip)

GRIS0OP•

Ok I’ll look into it thank you! Regarding discord I don’t know if PS have already the integration but that will solve a lot of problems

PS5 does have it, though you need your phone to "send" the voice chat to it (PS4 does not have and wont receive it 😔). But yeah, you can voice chat on Xbox to PS5 and PC, only difference being that PS still needs the discord app to send the chat to console

i would look at gforce now and gamepass if you have ok internet 4080 tier is pretty dope and would cover years worth vs $600 said n done with a series x

1
GRIS0OP•

Yeah I have very fast internet connection thank you

I compared it to my 13700k 4080 build just to see what it was like for a month using my steam and epic library

was blown away playing bf2042 and didnt notice latency or input delay after about 10 mins .

For the cost its really a super gaming PC in the cloud on your desktop tablet or phone and thats doep

1

Spot on :-) no need to buy a Xbox x just for that :-) just game pass ultimate and ps+ premium and you get both worlds for a fraction of the cost of a console

And the graphics? I play on an oled LG27 screen

it wasnt perfect 1/1 to my at home rig but man its like vodo,

Buy it for a month worst case you waste $15 on trying out new tech

Spot on :-)

Spending 500$ for a game that didn't even release yet is ridiculous

1
GRIS0OP•

I’ll buy after the release of course

But isn't that what the whole "exclusives" debate is all about. People buy consoles for games that aren't released yet all the time. The market is geared that way.

It would be dumb to buy an Xbox just for one game. But it's your world sport, we are just living in it.
