I made a new class (I hope it's new) for my D&D sci-fi campaign, and I am looking for feedback to make it better. This is the first time I've done something like this.

As the title says, this is the first time I've done something like this and am looking for some feedback! All feedback (Good & Bad) is appreciated.

Wastelander Class

The Wastelander is a survivor, a master of adaptability, and a scavenger who thrives in the harshest of environments. Skilled in scavenging, crafting, and survival, the Wastelander can turn even the bleakest situations in their favor.

Hit Points: Wastelanders have 1d10 hit points per level.

Proficiencies:

- Armor: Light armor, medium armor

- Weapons: Simple weapons, improvised weapons, ranged weapons

- Tools: Scavenging tools (used for finding and repurposing materials), artisan's tools of choice

- Saving Throws: Dexterity, Constitution

Skills: Choose three skills from Acrobatics, Athletics, Nature, Perception, Sleight of Hand, Stealth, or Survival, and a specific tool proficiency related to crafting.

Class Features:

  1. Scavenger's Instinct: Wastelanders have an uncanny ability to find valuable resources in unlikely places. At 1st level, you gain proficiency in Scavenging tools. You can use your Scavenging tools to search and salvage materials from the environment or fallen enemies, potentially finding useful items or crafting components.
  2. Adaptive Resilience: The harsh conditions of the wasteland have toughened your body and mind. Starting at 2nd level, you gain resistance to one damage type of your choice (acid, cold, fire, lightning, necrotic, poison, radiant, or thunder). You can change this resistance during a long rest.
  3. Survival Instinct: At 3rd level, you gain proficiency in Survival if you don't already have it. Additionally, you can find or create basic shelter, food, and water for yourself and a number of creatures equal to your Wisdom modifier (minimum of 1) during a short rest, provided you have access to at least rudimentary materials.
  4. Wasteland Tactics: At 6th level, you have advantage on saving throws against environmental hazards and diseases. You also gain proficiency in one type of artisan's tools of your choice, reflecting your crafting abilities honed in the wasteland
  5. Scrap Armor: Beginning at 10th level, you can create armor from salvaged materials, granting yourself a bonus to AC while wearing light or medium armor. This bonus is equal to your Intelligence modifier (minimum of 1).
  6. Mastery of the Wasteland: At 16th level, your familiarity with the wasteland allows you to move seamlessly through even the most treacherous terrain. Your movement is not hindered by difficult terrain, and you have advantage on Dexterity (Stealth) checks made to hide in natural environments.
  7. Resourceful Survivor: Upon reaching 18th level, you have become a true master of survival and resourcefulness. Once per day, you can automatically succeed on a saving throw or ability check. You regain the use of this feature after a long rest.

Saving Throws: Dexterity, Constitution

You gave it 2 strong saves, every class must have a strong (dex, con, wis) and a weak (str, int, cha) saving throw proficiency.

oh, ok, thank you. What do you recommend that I give it?

I'd say Con and Int. Also, the class might be flavorful rp-wise, but what can it contribute to the party during combat? There's zero combat-enhancing features.

Right, thank you. I'll try to go over it and give it some party-contributing features. Thank you for your help!
