Judging by key words in your post it seems you are asking about a deleted or banned account, or threats of having your account deleted/banned.
You can rest assured that a scammer can not delete your account without definitive proof of ownership and even if they somehow got that it would take 14 days for it to go through and during that time you can cancel it once you get your account back.
Scammers will often change your username, description, or profile picture in an attempt to make you think you were banned or that your account has been deleted but those are always just meant to discourage you from trying to recover it.
Do not pay the scammer a ransom fee. If you do they will just ask you for more until you give up and then not give you your account back. Instead file a ticket with Steam support to recover your account.

Judging by key words in your post it seems you are asking if someone is a real Valve employee.
As is stated on Steam supports official website:
Valve employees will never communicate with you about your account using any chat system including Steam Chat and Discord. The only way you can speak with a Steam Support agent about your account is through the Steam Support Help Site. There's no situation in which you'd need to reach out to a Valve or Steam employee directly to resolve an issue.
Anyone claiming to be a Valve employee, Steam Support representative, or asking to verify your items for an investigation should be immediately reported.

TYSM!!! bruh I can't believe I really almost led my friend to fall for that scam..... I watched NTTS a lot but just didn't notice when I really faced something like this
Me being a huge idiot be like ;-;
stay safe bro
Scam. A similar issue happened to me and I lost my account. It wasn't anything bug but that 40$ could've gone to other shit ya know
That feels like a big chunk of money for me Those guys who does that really sucks but they are just really dumb in a way now that I can go back and see what they said
Yeah it was the first time something like this had happened to me cause I've had the steam account since middleschool. I never really had a job before to get games I wanted on there so it sat unused for awhile while I enjoyed my Xbox and playing Final fantasy 14 on my ps4.
Thankfully I made a new steam account from scratch, removed the link to my discord for it to be safe(this is what they use to get ya) and just went about my day. Still sucks I lost thay 40$ though :/
Hope u find a lot of games that are worth your money and your time :p
Aww you could’ve contacted support and they can revert the email and change the password on steam and discord would also revert the email
youre legit retarded pal
I was 13 but okay "pal"
youre a nigger thats why youre stupid
You're using a new reddit account. You're a loser on the internet.
We do not tolerate any trolling here or making rude comments and making fun of people who get scammed
Ignore it and report the account and change your steam password to be safe.
My friend did change his password now
I might try to report that account but I think it's kinda pointless since those cuties(?) didn't get anything from us anyways(x
Report them any ways more there reported the quicker they can be banned from discord
I see, might do when I'm having spare time :p
I all ways report scammers wast my time enjoy this report..
man i love the classic "I accidently reported your steam account" scam
i've had it 3 times now. When i inevitable get it a fourth time i'm gonna see how long i can keep them going for
lmao have fun
After the first time I see this kind of scam it's just plain stupid to me
But there just seems to be a lot of dumb people like me who doesn't look for scam prevention stuffs enough so they kinda still works
I wanna do the same thing too and waste scammers' time on me XD
Another day, another one of these exact same scams
I feel stupid for even writing this out after I understand how common this is
I can’t blame you for being cautious
Aw, thanks
You made me feel so much better😭
A few days ago someone wanted to scam me by the same way
You can call 18222 if you in debut.
I feel like this subreddit exists just to rub into my face how fucking stupid I was for falling for one of these scams.
Not so much, at least you know there are others who face something like this now--
You'd feel much more stupid if you posted something related yourself like how I did just then
The auto mod just be slapping common knowledge into my post comments immediately and made me understand how they can't do anything before you leak stuff to them before even one person left a comment (Have to thank the mod team a lot for making such a helpful system with quick infos tho, honestly)
