Mike Myers' reaction is timeless.

I though the look on Chris Tucker's face as they switched the camera to him was hilarious.

310
EmpireAndAll•

He was like "Oh shit. Wait, do I talk now? Shit."

The most I've ever laughed at a reddit post. Good lord sir you deserve an award.

2
skawtiep•

It looks like Mike Myers is reading off of a teleprompter and Kanye West is just making things up on the spot.

Myers' reaction is priceless. It's like he doesn't process what Kanye said at first, and then it hits him, and cut to Chris Tucker.

182
cXs808•

I'm guessing they both had teleprompters but kanye decided to spit a freestyle.

89
essentialgenitals•

Is that really kanye? I thought it was just some random black dude lol...

-8
Fake-Empire•

That joke never gets old, lol...

-6
essentialgenitals•

I wasn't joking though, turns out I have no idea what kanye looks like and some dumbass idiot rambling incoherently about retarded shit didn't quite click. I thought they had a victim of the hurricane on the show.

17
zazagooh•

I've never cringed at this video. I always find it hilarious, just Kanye being an idiot.

Imma letchu finish, but Kanye's Taylor Swift moment was the most likeable Kanye of all time!

28
TheYuppieWord•

Your favorite Kanye is when he's stuttering, ignorant and idiotic?

-27
[deleted]•

[deleted]

71
TheYuppieWord•

This is true, but going on a Red Cross live television ad and saying "Bush hates black people" doesn't really help the matter at all. If he wants to make political statements like that, he should make his own video instead of ruining a charity commercial with his own agenda.

It's good that he is standing up for what is right, but it was done under the wrong circumstances.

20
[deleted]•

Isn't that just Kanye?

6
[deleted]•

[deleted]

-11
Stephen1986UK•

Yes, because one angry black male obviously represents millions of people. Idiot.

Its YOU who are the racists, black people!

He just totally flipped it on you.

1
NoIdeasOriginal•

The rant leading up to the quote is a bit misguided but his saying "George Bush does't care about black people" probably isnt entirely untrue and certainly didn't seem like a falsehood immediately after Katrina.

-11
lorddumpy•

How is this being idiotic? This man went on national television and called out George W for his lack of support for Katrina victims. I call that being brave

-27
Shabbypenguin•

if he had said bush doesnt care about katrina victims i think it would have been a shock but taken better. labeling it a race issue only further divides it.

36
niyou77•

It's not a huge stretch to make it a race issue since NOLA is predominantly black excluding the colleges there. Obviously it was kinda dumb of him to label it a race issue, but he was shocked and sad, cut him some slack. He's not as bad a guy as Reddit makes him out to be.

-8
Unfair•

Bush had a black secretary of State and Defense

9
Unfair•

I would actually call it so brave

-5
UiiN•

The thing that surprises me most is, he's a horrible speaker. Did he decide to do this at the last second?

106
EmpireAndAll•

It looks like he was going to cry, not that he was ill prepared.

132
[deleted]•

[deleted]

-15
SlyFox28•

He sounded extremely nervous to me. I sound the same way when I do public speaking. He obviously thought of this last minute and knew he would catch flak for not reading the teleprompter and speaking his mind instead. Either way, he is still a scumbag.

17
[deleted]•

[deleted]

10
[deleted]•

he said what he thought but it was completely inappropriate timing

31
[deleted]•

[deleted]

9
oxhappyhourxo•

And taking advantage of the red cross reaching out to him to speak and using that moment. Completely inappropriate.

6
kuracpicka•

Yes? His comment was baseless and inappropriate, he's openly calling someone a racist.

6
8Cowboy•

He's a scumbag because he was belligerently wrong. It's easy to forgive your friends and coworkers when they're wrong, it's a hell of a lot harder to forgive someone who will influence possibly millions when they're obstinately or ignorantly wrong (another example would be Jenna McCarthy and her bullshit anti-vaccine BS). I've never liked GWB and hated that he was president. However, he did a lot more for black people than most black people have. One source.

4
[deleted]•

Kayne West saying Bush hates blacks is akin to a woman who influenced kids being harmed?

1
SlyFox28•

He is a scumbag for his other actions. Look up some of the shit that he has done.

-3
_Meece_•

Like what? What other actions. The MTV thing? or what?

6
[deleted]•

[deleted]

4
shit_lord•

Well, look at the bright side. He never beat up his girlfriend.

3

I agree, there are a lot of passive pussies in here that don't understand how emotionally charged kanyes statement was. I commend him for it. Fuck a George bush

-5
[deleted]•

[deleted]

19
[deleted]•

So do you agree with his statement that George Bush doesn't care about black people, and if so, could you go into detail about why you feel that way?

9
BassheadPanda•

Commend him? You think he was being brave by putting all those people on the spot like that? You think it's okay to be dishonest to Redcross, Mike Meyers, and essentially everyone else that was involved with that?

It's not about sending a message. He's fucking Kanye West for crying out loud. The only reason he was there is because he's famous and on television all the time. He could have made that statement to the public any time he wanted.

You want to know what I think? I think he's a coward for forcing that situation on other people and using a tragedy like hurricane Katarina as platform to spew his ignorant political bullshit.

8
ghostbackwards•

Just one George Bush?

4
UiiN•

Indeed. Such a hypocrite.

-4
Stange•

Oh, why? I don't know much about him other than how people say he has a big ego.

3
UiiN•

Mostly what he was saying in the video. Blaming race then trying to separate people based on race.

-2
[deleted]•

[deleted]

1
[deleted]•

[deleted]

11
UiiN•

That wasn't what I meant buddy. He might have thought about it before he done it, but it sounds like he didn't. For someone who spends a lot of the time in the media, he was very nervous.

2
[deleted]•

[deleted]

2
UiiN•

Well he's a performer. If it was a last minute thing then a I guess I understand but if it was planned then it's a bit strange.

1
davie18•
103
TheYuppieWord•

A very firm reaction, I'll give him that.

103
v-j•

Kanye's response to that video is pretty painful too

38
telepathyLP•

oh, i thought the first video was a comedy skit until i saw this video

26
davie18•

He was kind of redeeming himself I thought until he started getting angry about the video playing and telling people to be quiet.

13
[deleted]•

I feel like it was kind of uncalled for them to play what was possibly kayne's most embarrassing moment in front of him while he was being recorded. Especially since Matt's description of it sufficiently covered what happened.

19
[deleted]•

Jesus he should either say sorry and that he didn't mean it, or come up with some facts or arguments as to why he said it. All he is doing is saying "well I'm not really sorry but I don't agree with what I said, but I'm kinda sorry but I don't know how to word it."

5
hounvs•

He has a point though. Saying sorry implies he didn't mean it. He meant it but responded with too much emotion and worded it poorly. He doesn't regret calling out Bush, he regrets blatantly saying that he doesn't like black people.

2
HAPPY_SOCK_4444•

I'm not a racist, let me just start by saying that....but...how is a man that has more money, fame and success than I could ever dream of having so stubborn and seemingly hateful towards another race. Nobody likes stereotypes because stereotyping is considered racist but, this man seems to be sticking to a certain stereotype.

3
[deleted]•

Jesus that was more cringeworthy than the op vIdeo

1
takaci•

Wow, that's the only time I've actually liked something Bush has said

9
Alpinestarhero•

Maybe one of the few times he said anything with pure honesty. You could hear the undertones of anger and fury in his voice.

7
spacelemon•

bush loves black people.

He had a lot of makeup on but he was the one who gave the mission to Michael Fassbender

3
KonyHawkProSkater•

I was wondering what happened to him so I looked it up and apparently he's a real stuck-up prick to the people he works with. So after he made Love Guru and people realized he isn't the comedic genius he once was, people stopped putting up with him.

At least that's what I read.

4
Mechanical_Owl•

I want to read that... Where did you find it?

12
KonyHawkProSkater•

I just googled "what happened to mike myers career" and found this site. Although, I didn't really bother to research it any further.
