The guy that helps the smart guy look smarter on screen. It's rare for someone to both have great analytical capabilities, and being a good host with stage presence capable of present their knowledge in ways everyone will understand it.
Looking at other analysis desks in previous SC2 events, it usually became really awkward when the casters suddenly goes "And over to the quiet Shy Guy for analysis!". And the guy doesn't quite know how to start, and it looks a bit weird. Unless you're Apollo though.
Jarett Cale will host it, making it easier for the player analyzing, as he will only have to answer questions, and not worry about what questions he should answer, and in which order. And with these issues solved, they can fill longer downtime, as it's more entertaining to watch. Watching Jarett and ToD banter about the game is more entertaining than ToD standing there alone and rambling.
At least, that's the theory.

I'm guessing that in between games they'll fill down time by having gameplay analysts break down the previous game, like MLG does with their smart boards. If that were the case, then the "Analysis Host" would be the guy hosting the group of analysts, like how Jim Brown/Kurt Menefee host the CBS/FOX NFL desk (but probably with fewer people).

they had similar setup in singapore with jorosar hosting with hasu and pig in some games. it was pretty fun setup, not try hard analysis-desk at all. probably gonna be a bit more serious with tod so it should be good. also getting other perhaps dropped out players later to guest join would be nice.

Jarret Cale was fucking awful as the main host, really ruined the stage shows for GamesCom and Singapore. Glad to see ReDeYe taking that spot.

And of course, Redeye is always a pleasure and I'm enjoying learning more and more about this legendary e-sports veteran.
Then again, I also couldn't post this without mentioning Apollo. I love that he and Jarett know eachother through old C&C times, and he's just fantastic to listen to.
And, well you know what Carmac? This event is pretty much perfect. You dun good Carmac, you dun good.
