What is Moldova's population?
I ask this becuase on Google some sites say that it has over 3.5 milion people and some say that it has around 2.8 milion people and I don't know who to trust...

According to the last census (2014) the population of R. Moldova (the free part, so excluding Transnistria) is 2,6 millions. But there has already been 9 years since then and the population has most likely decreased even more. There will be a new census next year, so it would be interesting to see the results of that one.
There was no recent free census in Transnistria for decades, so nobody knows for sure how many people are still living there. According to estimates it's probably 350.000-400.000 people.

The idea is that nobody really knows. In Moldova, it is normal for someone to go abroad for work for about 6 months -1 year and then come back. The latest estimate was at about 2.5 million people.
In the Central Electoral System there are registered 3 285 894 people, meaning that presumably there are 3.2 million people with active citizenship over 18 years old that are not yet dead.
