Need help with choosing the right car. The choices are Swift and Tiago.

#Review

Having trouble choosing a car. Can someone give their experiences?

My dad wants to buy a new car since the current one is old and has issues. He shortlisted between the Swift and the Tiago.

Swift is pretty good but Tiago has much lower price and the interior and exterior design is very good.

However the only problem he has now is that he heard that tata cars have too much vibration cause of its 3 cylinder engine. Is this true? The salesman said that the recent models have upgraded engines which doesn't have these problems. Is this true?

Personally I also want the Tiago cause it's overall more safe. What do u guys say?

Also if I take the taigo it's going to be the x2+(highest) model but for the Swift it's the vxi(medium) model

Dont buy swift at any cost its very badly built and not the good ol swift it used to be, either buy i20, baleno , buy tiago only if you can deal with tata's reliability and ass issues.

Tata have reliability issues? What kind? Problems with the engine?

Yeah they generally tend to give issues early in its life, and there's more chance that you might get a lemon in tata and if you get a lemon you will have a hard time in dealing with service center, over all i did not like the tiago when. I drove it, i also sat in the rear seats and felt the floor vibrating tho it was before bs6 phase 2 ,you experience may vary

it was before bs6 phase 2

Yeah the salesman said that the issues have been fixed in phase 2 models. However they say a lot of things to make a sale. My dad will take a test drive this coming week. So let's see.

Both cars are from different segments I believe. Tiago is more comparable to Celerio hence why its cheaper than Swift. Give Baleno or Ignis a try. They are much better than Swift. And if you want to go with Tata then Altroz would be a good comparison to Swift.

Reliability with Tata is a hit or a miss. So is the fit and finish. If you are lucky you might end up with a good car or else be ready to take frequent trips to the service centre. Marutis after sales service is also much better compared to Tata.

Unfortunately altroz or ignis won't fit in our garage. Swift is the max size which can enter. Anything more and it won't fit.
