Question about control stick calibration on Dolphin emulator

I can’t ask in the dolphin emulator subreddit because it is closed to posts.

Anyways, I am trying to play Beyond Good and Evil on dolphin emulator. The menu is circular with 16 options. Problem is that C stick set up with up/down/left/right keys only gives me 8 options. I can’t access the menu options immediately to the sides of those at 12, 3, 6 and 9 o clock.

Is there a fix for this using a keyboard? Or am I screwed and need an actual controller?
