What happens when production is getting you a hotel?

I booked a job next week; and production told my agent they have a hotel room for me. I’m just kind of confused because I’m wondering how you go about checking in? Normally when I stay somewhere I need ID to verify I booked the room and everything. They haven’t sent any info on the hotel room yet but I just wanted to ask and see how it normally works
