"Propaganda" class taught at Christian middle school?

So my two neices (twins) are starting 7th grade at a private Christian school. They were showing me the handouts for one of their new classes, which is called "Propaganda", and it seems to be about recognizing hidden agendas and bias, etc. (Weird topic for a 7th grade class.) But everything this school teaches itself has a hidden agenda of some kind which is pretty obvious to any suspicious adult (me).

I'm having trouble interpreting this one. Wouldn't propaganda be the last thing a Christian school would want to teach kids to recognize? I assume the purpose of the class is to make kids suspicipus of the mainstream, secular 'propaganda' that is trying to lure them away from Christ. But that knife cuts both ways. How would they teach this class without implicating the tactics of Christian indoctrination which are far more egregious in distorting reality than secular education is? Does anyone have any experience with this sort of tactic? Any insight into what is going on here?
