Is it impossible for me to find a remote job right now?

I have been looking for a remote Data Engineering role for about 7 months now and no one will hire me. I have done multiple projects as well as in my previous job I was exposed to certain tools which are used in Data Engineering. I had to quit that job within a year of working there because I just couldn't relocate because of certain private issues. I know my experience is very less compared to maybe others but I am pretty confident in my skills as is showcased in some of my projects but I guess no HR will look that deep into my resume.

So, in order to improve my chances, I started networking a couple months back to get referrals but that hasn't worked either. Everybody just says that apply to this link and go on your way.

I'm at the end of my wits now. Any help would be appreciated.
