Freelance Work and Advice

Hi - I currently work with the deals vertical of a consulting firm. I do due diligence, trading and transaction comparable (indicative comps), market research and competitive benchmarking work.

I am looking to venture out and start with freelance work. However, could not find much traction on Upwork. Any advice related to how should I go about it and if you have any contacts related to the same would be really helpful.

Previously, I have worked as an offshore associate for PE vertical of an alternative asset management firm. I have an MBA in finance and I am well versed with multiple databases such as Capital IQ, Factiva and Mergermarket etc.
