Question about optimal pc specs to run heavily modded rimworld smoothly
I have more than 300 mods, loading takes about 15 minutes to get to the starting menu. I'm playing a full sized world map, using largest recommended map size for colony. I'm using a pretty decent computer for rimworld (3070TI, 12700kf, 32gb 3600hz) on windows 11. But at certain points during the game, the game speed slows down to like 0.2x for many seconds and goes back to normal. Also, right before when a new trader, raid or quest message appears, there's a pause in the game for like 15 seconds. I don't have a big colony. I only have 8 colonists and not much buildings/items/animals. I know the game is requiring lots of memory and cpu power. In order to make the game smoother, do I need to upgrade my CPU? or my ram to 64gb?
