Is it possible to have fun in a normal PUG raid? How?
Like the title suggests.
Me and a couple of close friends have started a fresh guild. Between all of us we are currently seven players strong. Since we aren’t a full raid team we always have to fill any remaining slots with other players.
Something that I’ve noticed is that progression on a normal Aberrus raid is neigh impossible come the assault boss. 90% of the time the raid ends with multiple wipes and then a mass exodus of players. I feel like I as the raid leader always come prepared and tell people what to do and to speak up if they want a rundown of the strategies. But in the end we’re almost always met with a death screen. On top of that I try to be selective with who I invite and make sure that they’ve got the achievements and the proper item level.
Everything works fine up until that boss.
Are there any tips regarding this? How do I make sure I invite the right people, is there any way to make the experience less frustrating? Am I/we the problem?
Should we just give up on raids until we have a dedicated raiding team? I have so many questions. Just want to be able to do this type of content without it being frustrating.
