⛲😳FOUNTAIN not rigged CONFIRMED?! THE TRUTH!🤯⛲ 🏰 Royale High
⚠️WARNING⚠️: An eternity of reading ahead, go get a nice blanket, book a nursing home, and get ready to read my pro-fountain essay! And please reply/disagree with civility, I don't want to have my notifs filled with rage and negativity, we're all people behind screens discussing a game that we all like!
Pardon the BeaPlays clickbait title, but I've been playing for 4 years and I haven't received a single Halo from the fountain, but that DOESN'T mean that it is rigged against anyone or specifically veteran/longer players. There are numerous older players who have won their halos, even multiple halos, I lurked around in the journal of someone at lvl 4500+ who had won 2 halos and she had only wished 157 times in her statistics. There are people with double, triple, maybe even quadruple the amount of wishes she had that haven't won anything, but she was lucky enough to win TWO, with far less attempts than them. The system isn't rigged against her or for her, she's just a lucky person. Same thing applies to any of the other rich people/veterans I've seen posting their 2nd and 3rd and sometimes even 4th halo wins on twitter, they're all just lucky!
It's weird for everyone to only focus on new players winning their halos, when there are various veterans winning probably even more than them. It's growing a strange hatred towards newbie players and thankfully they're not invested in any of the communities so they won't see so many people being jealous of them and hating on them for being a person who is somehow "less deserving" of the halo. I was in a server with a girl who won a halo in front of me while I was doing the fountain study quest a couple weeks ago and she was the ABSOLUTE STANDARD of what would define a new person, but I gave her a congrats and kept it pushing instead of feeling like I was robbed by her because her winning isn't my loss. These are children, not halo economy/trading addicts! So what if she never logs in again and the halo is left on her account collecting dust, it doesn't concern me and I'm not losing sleep over it, neither should anyone else.
The fountain is either going to be a hellish demon spawn or a happy sparkling jump rope queen depending on where the numbers go when you wish, we all have our moments and chances. I haven't gotten a halo, but I did get 140 EXP from a wish today, and I had gotten 750+ diamonds twice yesterday. Sometimes the fountain will steal 200+ diamonds from me, every few wishes I'll just get nothing. Couple days ago the fountain only just took 1 diamond from me and I wasn't sure if I should've been happy or offended, it would've felt less like a joke if it took 200+ again, but that's just chances at work, not a rigged system made by an evil grinning callmehbob trying to make her older players suffer.
And there definitely shouldn't be a pity system for the fountain, as I said under someone else's post this is NOT a Gacha Game, this is a fairy princess dressup roleplay school game that has extra mechanics that you can play around with for fun, the fountain is one of them, the archery game is one of them, sunset island is one of them. You're not pulling for Zhongli or Kafka, you're not trying to speedrun MOC or Spiral Abyss with the newest unit, and you're certainly not losing a 50/50 to Jean for the 3rd time in a row AND to Gepard for the 3rd time in a row (this is not personal, 100% an analogy 🥲 moving on), you're wishing at a fountain free of charge every two hours and anything can happen, with the slim chance of winning a floating ring that doesn't do anything. It would entirely defeat the purpose of Halos existing if anyone could just build up a pity to get one guaranteed, it's supposed to be an "OH WOW I WASN'T EXPECTING THAT" moment of luck and joy, nothing more and nothing less. I don't think that any of us, whether extremely old or new, are owed or entitled to winning a halo, it just doesn't work that way and it ISN'T supposed to work that way.
I also don't understand how some of us think that giving an EZ instant Halo win is a proper way to show appreciation to older players, I think a beautifully designed series of exclusive badges with extremely detailed borders being given out each year would be fine enough for anyone who's been here for a long time, and the badges could always go to the top of the display so that they're the first thing that the player and people see. And if people are desperate for something wearable, maybe even gift out unique accessories (like cybernova's alien halo, but not a halo) to commemorate the players on their anniversaries (non-tradable so that the items don't sabotage the economy and the purpose isn't defeated). To flat out give away fountain wins just bc you're old is just about as unbalanced as the conspiracy of barbie programming the fountain to give new players halos on their first wishes.
On a more nuanced note, I completely understand that not everyone is privileged enough to trade in the halo economy for halos if they really want one, whether it's because they don't have the gamepasses so farming is much less rewarding, or they don't have the time because of their school, their jobs, or their life of touching grass in general. Although Halos are comparatively MILLIONS and MILLIONS cheaper than what they used to be (looking at you Halloween 2019), the economy is still something that a decent amount of the playerbase will struggle to enter. There isn't exactly a win-for-all solution to halos or the economy in general, but I will remind everyone that there's more to the game than just floating rings and trading, you'll be able to make complete and wonderful outfits without halos, you'll be able to be a pretty princess or charming prince or nonbinary royal without halos. You don't need to flex any of these things or the badges that come with them, you're better off farming diamonds over time and maxxing out your dorm to the point where it makes the whole server lag due to it's amount of detail than stressing over a halo badge or the halo itself. We've got Bloxburg in the Princess Game now, for goodness sake, build a couch with some posters!
Now I'll add a tl:dr for the ones who certainly won't be getting the "Dedicated Reader" Badge! 😡
tl:dr: getting trolled by the fountain is annoying, I haven't won anything either, life isn't fair y'all, not winning ≠ rigged, vets can also win, stop hating on the lucky newbies, this isn't a Gacha, we're not entitled to own everything, Barbie could add pretty badges that annually commemorate original players instead of giving free wins, don't assume Barbie would disadvantage OGs by not giving them halo wins, there's other nice things in the game to enjoy, the game doesn't revolve around halos pls log off of traderie and walk in divinia park for 5 minutes, make the most out of what you can if you don't have diamond/trading privilege, it's just a game.
