fear of being misguided after not being able to leave sin for years

title. What does it take for a person to be misguided from Allah. I'm struggling with addiction and can't leave it, I'm in a very bad place right now, it's like I can sense being misguided, and fear it, I'm very cold and lost meaning. What would one do in this position. Please help.
