strange sleeping experience / tiredness
Hey, Every night, I wake up few hours before my desired time (not from light because facemask and not from sound because closed windows). Then I am:
a) teetering between sleep and barely awake state until its late and I just leave the bed (So having like 4 different dream sessions, but every one makes me more tired) b) [it happens when I am closer to desired time] - i feel like i woke up in a deep sleep, and wont go back to sleep after. if i manage to do go back, its point a) again
The only solution I found to being somewhat rested was to just lie down in this state. The problem is, I once had to spend 13 hours (bedtime-waketime) in bed in total to feel moderate. So even though I seem to get the 9 hours of sleep each night, for the past months I have felt incredibly exhausted.
A couple of times I was about to fall asleep, but snapped out of it because of no breath. Also, I had a few dreams that have ended this way. I don't snore, but sleep apnea runs in my family. I currently am visiting doctor to find a cause, but everything seems fine so I am considering checking myself for apnea. Should I only get a test at a sleep clinic? Or should I borrow a CPAP (as I believe it's free for some time in my country). I know that home tests are less accurate so I won't do them, but basically what should I do to be the most sure if I have it or not?
Thanks in advance!
