I always see posts on tiktok,.Instagram, and even on Reddit about how age gaps are " weird " or " creepy " and it annoys me so much

Advice

Like, I see posts where someone could be 18 and dating a 35 y/o and the comments are bombarded with people who don't understand that agr can be healthy. " That's so creepy ! You're being taken advantage of ! Leave now ! " even tho the person specifically states that it's a healthy relationship. I especially see this on Tumblr, with FICTIONAL characters too. " Insert character is 18 and shouldn't be shipped with insert character who's 25 " dude that's one of many legal age gaps and also it's not THAT big of an age gap. Wait until the Tumblr girls hear about fictional age gaps twice the size.

Even on insta I'll see the occasional post ripped off from tiktok and reposted with no credit about how some 18 year old was approached by a 27 year old in a nonchalant and impressionable way and she like bitch slapped him or something. And like it annoys me because the dude probably wasn't trying to attack her he might have just wanted to start a conversation. Of course that's a hypothetical scenario but it's similar to tiktoks shitting on age gaps that you would see on the app.

Even on Reddit there are people telling people in healthy and happy age gap relationships that it's wrong and their partner is a pedo/groomer. Also if the age gap is legal what even is the problem ?? If 18 is the " magic number " why isn't 17, or 16 ? Also aoc laws vary in different countries.

Tldr; I see hatred towards age gaps literally everywhere on the internet and I'm sick of hearing about it/seeing it.
