PS Vita Slim --> Original Shell?

I have PS Vita Slim and I've always regretted the blue colour. While looking for shell replacements I came across the shell for the original OLED model.

Now I'm wondering if it's possible to swap out the guts of my slim into a more premium feeling original shell. Had anyone done this?

Tbh I'd buy an original but I don't which seller to trust.

Literally just go on ebay or whatever and buy one. It's not that complicated. It's not like there're scammers at every corner trying to fuck you over.

Most of them say the image on the page is just a reference and the actual product won't match that. Plus other Redditors in this subreddit have claimed that they got a far inferior device than advertised. It wouldn't be a problem if the seller was in the same country but when the seller is in Japan or even the states it's a lot more hassle.

buy from Japan on Ebay. I've bought 6 VITAs from there and was happy with all of them.

go on facebook marketplace, then sell your vita slim so you don't take a huge loss

Afraid that modding the slim guts into an OG shell would be a massive undertaking. I’d just buy an OG.

You can buy the 1000 versions on site like OfferUp or Facebook Marketplace. Both of my vita are bought from there and they both look brand new. The fun part is you can feel free to negotiate the price with the sellers.
