How many is too many

Do your faction related feature work as intended? Quest, raid, trade, unique mod faction quest, etc..
I have had no issues
Only thing affected by the number of factions (in theory) is the rarity of quests. If you have a bunch of Vanilla Factions Expanded mods, for instance, their quests will be a lot rarer depending on the number of factions you have.
So depending on what you're most interested in doing it might not be the best idea. But otherwise I also play with loads of factions and never had any problems.
when it crashes
So I'm still good 😊
I thought I was in r/kerbalspaceprogram
We do the space adventures
Play kerbal space program, have ship blow up near planet, start a crashlanded colony
Get your primary pawn abducted, screen fades to black when they cross the edge of the screen, slowly fades in...
"Hey, you. You're finally awake."
From what I gathered, there is no such thing as "too many" for a rimworld player.
Needs more. There are still spots to put your base
Any recommendations on factions?
Bounty hunters and corporation subsidiaries!!!
I don’t see any colonies on the orbiting asteroids. So, no enough.
Honest idk if im weird but i love to have factions all around me, even Max population isnt enough
I do it for RimWar shenanigans.
I use a heavy mod list just so that I can experience everything in every playthrough. Just roll the dice and see where it goes. Maybe this time I'll get some nice quests that encourage me down the genetic engineering path, maybe this time it's organ harvesting, etc etc
And having factions all around me trading, fighting, expanding, etc just really adds to the dynamic storytelling.
I feel strangely enlightened and it makes no sense
I wish planets weren't all earth-like. Wish we had an ice planet like Neptune or a repulsive desert planet like Mars, it gets kinda boring having all soil and water planets. Someone should implement these and if they do, I'll be forever grateful
Turn temperature all the way down and rainfall all the way up. Tada
Or turn rainfall all the way down and temperature all the way up.
Alpha Biomes can be used to create some weird and wacky planets too since you can disable vanilla biomes.
I don't know, but not enough!
When you have the 'setup camp' mod, world domination is only fun if there is no end in sight. :D
I am using VE Outposts and RimWar. I think that counts?
TBH there is more involved with those, more is always better... TO THE RIM!
Setup Camp is just a temporary settlement so you can hunt, forage, produce really quick, then keep moving. Other mods allow similar or more I am sure.
To be fair, my mod pack is nearly 500 mods, it might actually be in there. Not at my PC playing right now to double check though lmao
That is a bunch, be careful with some of them.
There was some conflict with the mess that is setup camp, giddy-up, advanced storage, achtung, and simple sidearms.
If you use giddy-up and setup camp, or just vanilla re-form caravan, save before you set back home, because you can get 'caravan was lost' and all animals being ridden are lost.
All that truly matters is that you have a good balance between peaceful and hostile factions.
So I shouldn't tick the box in RimWar that makes every faction hostile?
:^)
Now put Rimwar in.
It already is :°)
