How can I diagnose my mental issues without a doctor
I guess I'll start by saying I'm a poor American. Lost my job and don't have insurance. I know going to a shrink is the obvious answer here, but my country has no interest in it's citizens' mental health.
I have pretty extreme mental issues, particularly anger issues. Other problems accompany the anger like feeling tired all the time, anxiety, instrusive (often violent) thoughts, but the anger is the most prevalent problem. It comes out of nowhere and everywhere. It can be triggered by a memory. A hypothetical problem. Things that happened to other people. Things that probably will never happen. Things I see on tv or read in the news. Everywhere. Weed helps a bit, at least in the short term.
I've had these issues for a long time, probably since I was a teenager. In my family the cowboy-up-and-deal-with-it approach was used for any non physical ailments. And to be perfectly honest, I never really considered the idea that I was broken until my brother died in 2019. That's when it started getting really bad.
I know I need help, I'm just not sure how to do it. I've been trying to self diagnose for literal years and I've come up with every answer from ADHD to schizophrenia.
So anyway, if anyone else has had any success with problems like these, I'd appreciate some advice.
