Which ratio is bigger? (never done ratios need confirmation I understand question right)

I have just realised it is equivalent to fractions/division. So can I please get help understanding what this question is asking?

"The yoga class meets twice a week.

On Tuesdays, the ratio of men to women is 1:6.

On Thursdays, the ratio of men to women is 2:11"

On which day is the ratio of women higher at the yoga class?

So as my first time thinking of ratios I think it sounds like there is a larger percentage of women on Tuesdays since 1:6 should be equivalent to 2:12 right? Also since it's asking about the women, I can flip the division and do 6/1= 6 and 11/2=5.5 yeah? *Also 1/6=0.166' and 2/11=0.1818' so there's a larger percentage of men compared to women on Thursdays, meaning Tuesday is the correct answer?

I have been confused by some things I read and chatgpt (which has been helpful for learning new math techniques I can't really find results by googling for... but this case has made it worse :P)

What is the best way to think about ratios? Am I right in my original train of thought and Tuesday is correct because 6/1 is larger than 11/2 ?
