LT and RT not working when pressed together.

I need help as I am on my wits end here. I got a new wired xbox controller (afterglow wave) and after logging to the game and configuring the controller, I noticed that the LT and RT do not work when pressed together. They work when pressed induvitually and every other button works as well. They all light up accurately in the game's calibration menu, even when pressing multiple buttons at the same time, expect for LT and RT where only the first one being pressed lights up but the second doesn't doesn't register.

In the game when pressing LT or RT it highlights the hotbar but when they're pressed together all selection gets "cancelled". This is very troubling as I need the LT and RT crossbar to actually play the game but cannot do so. I have googled and found similar if not the same issue as myself but no solution. I have also tried all kinds of things from reinstalling the concole, updating drivers, restarting pc, linking FF14 through steam and using steams controls (game does not recognize controller if you enable steam controls) and all kinds of other things.

I have no idea what to do anymore as I feel like I have tried all, I even reinstalled the old controller but it made no difference.
