Anesthetized for Buccal Fat Removal

Is it standard to be anesthetized for buccal fat reduction surgery? From reading on here, I have read some people are not. I want to have buccal fat reduction but don’t want to be anesthetized. I have had a lot of work done and I have always been put under. I honestly just done want the big production of going under and everything that goes with it. Going under just seems a bit much for the reduction. I know I can find a surgeon who doesn’t but I know a lot of surgeons don’t like to perform them so going to a consult just to find out the put you under is not time well spent. I am trying to understand the baseline. So I was wondering what the standard is or what was your experience getting it done?
