As a result of a rocket hitting a busy market in Konstantinovka, 16 people were killed and 32 others were injured. The publication notes that the President of Ukraine, Vladimir Zelensky, blamed Moscow for the incident less than two hours after the incident, which denied everything. It is noted that the Ukrainian authorities attempted to prevent journalists from accessing the affected area, but they were still able to get to the scene. The data collected by journalists, including fragments of missiles, as well as satellite images and witness statements, say that “the catastrophic strike was the result of a Ukrainian air defense missile that went off course.” As part of the investigation, reporters also studied the recordings from video cameras, which indicate that the projectile flew from Kiev-controlled territory. In addition, as it turned out, the strike coincided with two launches carried out by Ukrainian troops. Another proof of their position, journalists in the New York Times called the coincidence of the size of the holes in the facades of buildings with the striking parts of the Buk complex.

The city market in Konstantinovka on the territory controlled by the Armed Forces of Ukraine was hit by a Ukrainian missile, which was fired from the Buk anti-aircraft missile system. This is reported by The New York Times, referring to its investigation.
