If PB’s redemption arc was driven by Flame Princess

PB didn’t change until these two events: 1. She got caught by FP during her operation to sabotage Fire Kingdom. And 2. She got kicked out of Candy Kingdom and poured her heart in front of Marcy.

So, if FP was the one to make PB change, then how would it look like? Would these two be really good friends, or Bubblegum would still be like a hypocrite, but just less extreme?
