Lost it all - Save error

I just lost over 48 hours of progress on Starfield because the game was unable to save. In the process, deleting all my save files. I don’t know how, or why, it happened. I went and searched everything I could and tried multiple ways. All gone. I don’t think there is any way to recover anything I had done up to this point. I was almost level 30.
