Cooking with gloves?

I may be late to the party here but does anyone do this when prepping etc? Not for hygiene but for sensory reasons.

I’d want some thick reusable sort, not flimsy single use. Maybe even some safety benefits that might speed things up for me because of my mild fear of slicing my finger.
