Why do so many people say arena is pay to win?

I see a lot of people saying things about the game being pay to win and that simply hasn’t been my experience. I just started playing on arena a few months ago since not having played magic at all basically since highschool. I just hit diamond rank in constructed playing a home brew deck and I haven’t spent a cent on the game. Goal is to hit mythic by end of the week.
