How to "freeze" an animation at a specific frame?
Hello you fine people,
In Unity I used a plugin called Animancer because I didn't like using the anim tree and I usually got confused and didn't get the results I wanted. That plugin allowed me to code the entire logic and one of the feature that I really needed was to be able to, for example, set the upper body to a specific frame of an animation, and it would "freeze" there.
The code would look something like:
AnimancerState tempState = _upperLayer.Play(_anim);
tempState.Time = _time;
The first line would set the anim as a state on the animator controller (on the character) and then the second line would set the state at a specific "time" (or "frame") of the animation.
You could then "remove" the freeze like this:
_upperLayer.StartFade(0, _fadeDuration);
I was wondering if there was a similar feature in Godot because as it stands, with the AnimationPlayer and AnimationTree, I just can't figure out how to do this and I'm stuck.
Thank you!
