New faucet intermittently hot

Hi there,

I installed a new Moen kitchen faucet (high arc, single handle on the side, pull down) and it is intermittently giving cold water (for days) when the handle is in the full hot position. Sometimes, it gives full hot though, again, for an extended period of time.

• turning off both stops turns off all water
• turning off just the hot stop will still allow water to flow when the faucet handle is in the full hot position
• other fixtures in the house are fine / hot

Moen support is sending a new cartridge.

Do you think that will do the trick?
