Connecting an older MacBook Pro to a newer one via Thunderbolt?
I've got an old MBP (Retina Mid 2014) and another MBP (14" 2023).
The 2014 has Thunderbolt 2 and the newer one, USB-C/Thunderbolt 4.
I would like to move some files from the older one to the newer one. I do not want to migrate everything.
The USB ports on the older one are kind of wonky, so I think an external drive is out. I tried airdropping them last night but it was taking forever.
Can these be connected directly via Thunderbolt? I understood you could do so and present one computer as an external drive to the other, but I can't seem to figure out what cable or adapter I would need to do this.
Any advice here would be appreciated.
