What Halo were you best at competitively?

I’ve been reminiscing about playing Halo with my friends when we were teens. I always feel I was average, because I’d have some good games here and there, but mostly got my butt kicked. One of these friends was my first college roommate, and I thought he was pretty good, but our friends in high school were clearly better. Turned out they played on the early competitive circuits and won a few tourneys. My roommate and I annihilated our entire dorm in college frequently. They had to implement rules and force the two of us to always be on the opposite team. It was a blast.
