Enforce issue dependencies

I love Jira but something that has always been an issue for me is issues dependencies.

Basically, if a task is blocked by another that is not complete, I want some visual indication during sprint planning at the bare minimum. Ideally moving such a "blocked" issue into a sprint would either warn the user about the issues that need to also make it into that sprint or block the move somehow. Any advice on such jira extension or some existing ScriptRunner template, etc.
