Brown Rice Grain Spawn Recipe

What is your tried and true grain spawn recipe for brown rice. I live at 5000 feet msl so I feel like my cook time isn't exactly dialed in, I can't find the best sweet spot between wet rot and rice that's too dry.

1. Do you soak your rice for a long period of time?
2. Do you wash your rice before cooking?
3. How long do you cook it for? At what elevation?
4. How long do you allow the rice to dry afterward?

I am gearing up for an experiment to test these variables but I want to know your anecdotes as well!
