Iphone Adaptor Keeps Switching Off

I’ve been enjoying my iphone adaptor with my glasses but sometimes it just switches off. Then, when i try to reconnect my glasses, there is an initial connection for a few seconds and then switches off instantly. Why is this happening?

What is the button on the adaptor for? It just goes red when connected then turns off immediately.
