Collecting custom metrics with OpenTelemetry in Cloud Run hosted instances

Hi guys

my team and I are responsible for an API built with ASP.NET Core that is hosted via Cloud Run. We want to add several custom metrics to have a better understanding of whats going on any given time. A first research has left me a bit confused. From my understanding the way it's supposed to work is having a service (like managed prometheus) to pull metrics in an interval from pre defined endpoints. I see how this would work if we had a fixed number of VM's that would run our backend. As we use CloudRun, each container instance would need to push its own metrics. However I didnt find a way to do this. Could you please point me in the right direction? Thank you
