Is buying property on parents name recommended?

I recently bought a land and my parents contributed 25% of the property value from their entire savings. Now they are asking to register the property on their name; because if I maintain full ownership then tomorrow when I get married or got into any problems with my future wife about property management or if there's a situations where I neglect them in old-age(Indian parents most feared situation), they feel they might loose their savings. I also have younger sibling and so my parents felt contributing all of their savings towards elder son would look biased, henceforth considering all these circumstances they wanting to maintain rights of the property.

I thought of splitting the ownership but then again it involves additional costs which I have to bear, but given the current situation all my savings are kept on that property.

Now I am in a situation, if I deny thier request it would give a sense of feeling that I am being bad son and whatever they are procastinating about would eventually come true cause it gives a vibe that I am not being mindful about their thoughts well before marriage.

I told them that I will make them the owner!! Was my decision right?
