Is the anti-creep offer still open?

Asking Advice

Wanted to get other dads' perspectives on this.

On the morning of my first day of secondary school (I guess high school for all the Americans here), my dad sat me down and said "At your age there's now gonna be boys asking for your number sometimes. If they keep bothering you, you can give them my number." I asked what if they actually call and find out it's not my number? And he replied with "Then I will pick up the phone and say HELLO THIS IS HER FATHER. WHAT DO YOU WANT." (He put on a scary voice for that part.) I found it really funny at the time. I was 13. Thankfully I never had to use this offer while still in high school.

Now as an adult dealing with so much nonsense in the dating world, I'm wondering whether the offer would still be open. I'm not sure if he even still remembers that he said this, or if he would still be willing to do it. Would it be weird if I asked? Would the dads here find it weird if your adult daughters asked? I'm just tired of dealing with creepy people.
