Letter of recommendation

I’ve been at my store going on 2 years doing tsst. I’ve really been aiming to become a full time partner, & have let my managers know countless amount of times that I want to become full time. My manager told me that if I apply at another store, they can write a recommendation email. If I wanted to go work at the plant, will it help my chances of getting hired with a letter of recommendation?
