Best things to craft sell and when do you rush crack a book?

What are some items that you craft a ton of that you sell for heaps of cash? I'm always always low on cash what do you sell and what do you craft and sell early game and late game. And what's your strategy for getting the resources for those craftable items to sell.

Another question is when you start a fresh game. How and when should you venture out looking for crack a book stores? When you have a bike? Done the quests for bike. Or straight away?
