[13/10/23] Maraoke, Video Game Karaoke @ The Breakfast Club, Canary Wharf
Hi, LSC! It's EGX weekend so what better way to celebrate a weekend of video games than a karaoke event specifically about them?
WHAT IS MARAOKE?
It's an evening with popular songs rewritten (like Weird Al does) about video games and sung by the most enthusiastic and supportive audience you'll ever be a part of. Ranging from Katy Perry to System of a Down, there's well over 550+ songs on the roster now.
"I CAN'T SING VERY WELL, IS THAT A PROBLEM?"
Neither can most people! The audience are exceptionally welcoming; if you've got enthusiasm no-one cares how well or badly you sing! If you're having fun, we're having fun.
"DO I -HAVE- TO SING?"
No! A lot of people just go to be in the crowd and sing along. No one will pressure you into singing. If you just want to come along and be in the audience for your first time here then that's totally fine, a lot of people do!
"I'M NOT A BIG GAMER, WOULD THAT BE A PROBLEM?"
Not at all! We get all kinds of people from developers, hardcore enthusiasts to casual mobile fans and people who barely game at all. It doesn't matter - our songs are stupid enough to work for everyone.
"COVID?"
While masks are not required, we welcome the use of them if you choose to. We also ask that you don't come if you have symptoms (or a positive test). Thanks!

Feel free to ask anything, we're a friendly bunch and we'll check the thread every now and then.
Get your tickets and more info here:. Tickets also available on the door if any are left
I like to try and get there a bit early and grab a drink before it starts, but I'm on a training course so will probably be there closer to 20:00 myself. You're more than welcome to join from whenever, even if you're there before me it's such a friendly place you could pretty much chat with anyone
I'll post my number and a description of my outfit up on the day.
See you there!
