Are Panther tanks worth?

Hello everyone,

I recently got the Panther D, right after the VK3002, because in another certain tank game (not gonna drop names in case is against the rules but if you know you know XD) I loved it as soon as I got it so now I wanted it in War Thunder as well, like I'm doing with the Tigers. But as soon as I tried I noticed that it's quite awful. The turret moves so slow that it seems the turret ring it's permanently broken, in terms of speed it goes way slower for a medium tank compared to the Tiger E which is a heavy tank, I can't really hit anyone efficently before I get brutally destroyed so I'm kinda regretting aiming for the Panther.

Are the other Panthers after the Panther D better? Should I just keep going or leave them and maybe go for the tank destroyers? I'm grinding already for the Nashorn and I already use the JagpanzerIV/38 in battle but I wanted some more tanks with turrets other the Tigers to use as well.
