How do you talk about your experiences/hauntings with others?

When people inevitably pry about my experience, the short answer is always that it was humanoid and it felt somehow darker than pitch black.

The first time I saw it about seven years ago, I got a very good look at it from about 6-8 feet away in broad daylight (under shade, indoors); yet I could only make out very large eyes and a large mouth, which were (somehow) darker than the rest of its form.

It was indistinct and amorphous, I commonly describe its "borders" as fuzzy, staticky.

We also experienced poltergeist activity at different times at the same location (and our homes thereafter for various periods of time) and saw it once more with other people seeing this thing at the location at the same time unprompted; so even though this "shadowperson" could have also been a poltergeist, there is no conclusive way of telling that these events are directly related to the same entit(ies) in our experience(s).

We did also record audio that makes us scratch our heads still to this day, but I'm not interested in "showing it off" because it won't prove anything. I could've faked better audio.

I will not give further details about the experience, nor will I give evidence/more info through DM.

I just want to share just details of what this thing looked like in case somebody else has seen something like this and thinks they're crazy.

You aren't alone.

So I'd love to skip the debunk-talk, the carbon-monoxide-mental-episode explain-aways, and the intellectual circlejerks that help people instinctually clutch their textbooks to their chest; I want to talk to other people that don't need to be convinced anymore if this stuff is real or not, I want to see stories linked to other posts, comments, etc. where "the logical explanations don't exactly add up," if you know what I mean. Or not, I'm not too picky.

People look at me like I'm crazy or maybe even try to poke holes in my story/accountability when I offer a bit of my experience, but I never try to convince anybody.

I don't care if you believe me.

I just found this subreddit and thought I'd share a little bit, because I want to hear if other people have been able to make out a face before.

So I just decided I'd stick to the details of whatever these things are, what they look like, and throw out the story.

I usually hear of ghosts that are white and glow, but I had never heard of anything that is a shadow until after I experienced this and decided to investigate further.

Heard of anything similar? With a rudimentary "face?"
