Keeping track of the growth of a city

Hello.

I am looking for a way to keep track of big achievements/growth in my cities, whether it be pictures, a diary... for example, the first tram line, a new district... I would like to know if any of you do this and how you do this. Just so you know, I play on a console, so it has to work with the console. But I'd love to hear from PC people, too.

Thanks
