The flaws in God’s test ( and how to fix it ) (applies to Islam and Christianity)

PART 1: The flaws in God’s test

By the term “ God’s test “ in the title I refer to the test of belief / honesty that is present in Islam and Christianity which is life itself .

In summary , humans must live in this world and use their free will in order to follow God’s religion to the best of their ability , any other paths will lead them to hell , however , there are certainly flaws in set test :

A- We are born in different places and grow in different societies , this difference could affect our decision making regarding religion in general.

For example , a child born in modern Saudi Arabia will most likely be a Muslim for the entirety of his and a child born in the Roman Empire will most likely be a Christian for the entirety of his life .

My point is not that our religious beliefs depend solely on our environment , but rather , it can have a major physiological impact on us as it is unlikely for someone to believe in a religion that contradicts the popular religion in his area .

B- The life span of humans differs from person to person , while some people can live for 80 years , other may die at their twenties .

This difference could be unjust in certain cases , for example , imagine that there are two brothers who believe in a man made religion and reject God’s religion after learning about it for the first time , however , while brother A dies a day after rejecting it , brother B lives for another 50 years and eventually accepts the religion before dying .

In this example brother A could easily argue that the difference in their life span makes the test unjust since had he lived for 50 years as well then he could’ve converted as well .

C- Some humans are naturally skeptical while other are naturally gullible, as a result , the test is easier for the gullible person .

D- Religions often claim that God tests us with “ smaller “ tests such as poverty , sickness and starvation .

However , we know that every human has a different life , therefore , disbelievers might point out that they weren’t tested in the same manner in which the believers were tested in certain cases .

For example , a believer can become an apostate after experiencing mental and physical pain , chances are that if he didn’t experience it then he would continue to believe , moreover , there are other believers who would leave their religion if they went through the same experience but they don’t .

PART 2: Proposing a test that is more just than God’s test

My idea for a test which aims to fulfill the same goal as God’s test goes as follows :

STEP 1 - Each human is born in a separate world in the same social - economic state . ( think of it as being the only human surrounded by robots / AI’s ) .

STEP 2- Humans won’t know that they are the only humans in their world , they will think that they are surrounded by other people .

STEP 3- Each human has the same cognitive traits and an equal IQ .

STEP 4- Humans throughout their lives shall be presented with the same “ smaller “ tests ( sickness , poverty and etc )

I know that these can be caused as a result of free will , for example , if I eat food from the ground I will become sick , therefore , these tests will work in a way that isn’t related to free will at all .

STEP 5- Each human will be presented to all the religions , the false ones and the one true one , from there , he would have access to all the arguments that are related to set religion and have enough time to make a decision ( Note : all humans will live for an equal amount of time )
