Looking for a true friend - The loneliness has worn me down
With this post, I hope to convince some of you to become my friend. I made this post some weeks ago, and here I am again - In hopes of finding that person -- a month later.
Who am I? I'd rather not talk about myself simply because I haven't a lot to say. I am in my 20s. A shy and socially awkward person who spends most of the time alone by mostly working and sleeping. An all-around mess of a person who struggles and dreams for a better tomorrow. Very little social skills, but I like to believe I am a good listener.
Why am I making this post? Because I'm sick of being alone. I'm sick of everything. I'm tired of the monotony of everyday life, where nothing new or inspiring happens, the shallowness of my relationship with my family, the hazy future, and the immense anxiety caused by my unpredictable health. I desperately need to change the situation I'm in. Maybe by writing this post, I can help to change things. Who knows?
Whom am I seeking? I'm looking to develop a long-term friendship with someone like you. Someone with whom I could find a common language- someone who sees and witnesses life similar to me. Someone like you who would take this friendship quite seriously and would invest in it by all means. A shoulder to lean on. I am looking to find a friend with whom I could build so much trust to openly share my life and everything that goes into it with full sincerity. A confidant. In any kind of friendship reciprocity is a must, so please be aware that I would show you the same compassion and respect I am talking about.
How would this friendship work? Like any other one. Occasionally a bit of sacrifice by both parties. Beyond the initial trust-building, if things go right, of course- the hardest part to overcome would be definitely the schedule and availability. For my part, I feel obligated to tell you that I'd like to keep in touch on a daily basis. I am aware that the intensity of our conversation would vary, but on some days just two-three lines would suffice.
If this post resonated with you in any way, feel free to DM me. Let's give it a shot; maybe we'll become friends. I look forward to hearing from you!
